What is the Emergency First Aid Training course?

The Emergency First Aid Training course is a 1 day, practical course, which teachers learners how to administer first aid in emergency situations. Designed in line with UK safety legislation and guidance, the course is ideal for any staff in low risk industries such as hospitality or retail. The course is practical focused, giving learners hands on experience to reinforce their learning.

Providing this training allows employers to comply with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. It equips their team to respond effectively during an incident and supports a safer, more confident workplace.

The Emergency First Aid Training course is Ideal for staff working in low risk workplaces, such as offices and conference venues, or the hospitality and retail industries. Especially suited to appointed persons or nominated first aiders where only emergency first aid cover is required.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Perform adult CPR and use an AED. 

  • Manage unresponsive casualties, choking, seizures, bleeding (minor & severe), and shock. 

  • Provide initial treatment for burns and scalds. 

  • Understand the role of the first aider and workplace health & safety responsibilities. 

Learners are assessed through continuous trainer observation and practical demonstrations. There is no formal assessment process.
