The Emergency First Aid Training course is Ideal for staff working in low risk workplaces, such as offices and conference venues, or the hospitality and retail industries. Especially suited to appointed persons or nominated first aiders where only emergency first aid cover is required.
The Emergency First Aid Training course is 1 day long and can be studied in-house.
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
Perform adult CPR and use an AED.
Manage unresponsive casualties, choking, seizures, bleeding (minor & severe), and shock.
Provide initial treatment for burns and scalds.
Understand the role of the first aider and workplace health & safety responsibilities.
Learners are assessed through continuous trainer observation and practical demonstrations. There is no formal assessment process.
